Agricultural Festival Will Be Celebrated As “Jan Abhiyan” – C.M. Chauhan

Madhya Pradesh is a rapid growing state and here the agricultural development is on boom. Farmers are now updating them and adopting new technologies and methods to improve the agricultural production.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has instructed that the agricultural festival will be celebrated as the Jan Abhiyan. During the festival in the state, changing the landscape of agriculture and increasing farmers' income should be launched. Farmers will be made aware regarding seeds, manure, horticulture crops, crop rotation and much more. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing preparations for the festival. The festival will be celebrated May 25 until June 15 in the state. Meeting Farmers' Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister and Chief Secretary Rajesh Rajora were present.

The Chief Minister directed the officers, that it’s their duty to inform farmers about new technologies and methods in agriculture. During the festival, farmers should be taught the importance of organic farming and it’s long term benefits. Also, meet them with some progressive farmers, so that they can follow them. They should increase increase milk production and should be informed of sectoral horticulture crops. The Festival will be on village, block, district and state levels and should be monitored online on a daily basis. Motivational song for the Festival should be prepared.

During the meeting, he informed that, a Rath will be in all villages to show the agricultural products and new equipments in the agriculture. During the Festival of soil health, farmers and fisher credit card credit will be given. Nomination, allocation and demarcation of the episodes will also be disposed of. During the Festival of state-level agricultural engineering fair, the state of agricultural productive organization, conference, seminar fish-farmers, state-level biological and Horticulture Fair, will be a workshop on crop insurance.

At the meeting, Agriculture Production Commissioner RK Swai and Farmer’s Welfare and Agriculture Development Principal Secretary Mr. Rajesh Rajora and other concerned officials were present.
